When I Look Back(Fiction)

When two years ago i joined Amity University, a self proclaimed ranked no.1 private university as an aspiring engineer, i had much less idea how life was going to shape out. With the kind of atmosphere i was exposed to, the thoughts of studies soon faded out. Attending classes felt extremely boring as a hell lot of interesting things were going on out side. But there was no other option as the attendance norms were staggeringly strict.

I found a reason to attend classes in the blue-eyed fair girl that sat next to me. She wasn't the most beautiful girl i had ever seen but she was no less either. Soon, we became good friends. We started going out but in groups, that too occasionally. A mass bunk once gave me chance to go even closer. We dodged our friends, who went to watch a movie and we ended up in a bar and lounge. And after a couple of beer together, we opened up a lot, literally. We spoke our heart out, shared things we hadn't shared with anyone else in college. This made us even best of friends, much better than the others. Soon we both going out a lot, just me and her.

But after missing so many classes and hardly even thinking about studies, i didn't had much to write in my first semester exams. When the first semester's result was out, i was shocked. To my disbelief, we both had cleared all subjects that too with more than average percentile. May be she was my lucky charm or may be that's the way you live it up in college, i thought. I wanted to keep my lucky charm with me, at least till we were in college. I proposed to her at a friend's party. She said yes and we were an item.

We became inseparable with time. We did things we never thought we'll be doing at that age but we did. It was fun. We were living it up like no other couple and somehow, it never managed to reflect on our mark sheets. Though her grades were falling, but still they were good in comparison to mine.

But the fourth semester result changed a lot of things. She failed in all major subjects and was on verge of an year back but somehow, i again managed to clear all. It broke our already cracking relationship. Suddenly, she realized that she was here to study and not to hang around with me. She wanted to study, she wanted to do well in her career and according to her i was the one standing in between.

It was time we waved goodbye to our lucky charms. It did hurt till i found the new hot fresher, who thinks she is here to enjoy and not to just study like nerds. I gave her a thumbs up and i still continue to live it up, big time.

just one lil critic, make it more mysterious, hide some details, make it a little bit more abstract, it will be perfect :)
